It’s been a busy 2013 for New Atlantic Youth and we’ve got a ton of new music rolling out as the weather starts to turn for the warmer. We recently finished live tracking for our cover of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” that will be featured on the King Killer Thriller Cover Compilation. Our friends at King Killer Studios are anticipating a May/June release date and we can’t even express how stoked we are to hear the final product.
The New Atlantic Youth LP is taking its final form in post-production and after months of planning, executing, and editing we can announce that the LP will be available in physical and digital formats for your listening please this June! That’s less than eight weeks, people!!! As a bonus while you weather out the wait, we’ll be releasing a digital single featuring a B-side of two never-before-recorded tracks: “Butterfly” and “Fuzzy Visions”.
Make sure you come out to our next two gigs at The Cameo Gallery (5/8) and at King Killer Studios as we celebrate Ian’s Birthday and the triumphant return of The Nuclear Holocausts with our friends Generator Ohm.
We’ve been busy busy busy between booking shows, writing new music, rehearsing for our appearance on King Killer Studios‘ awesome compilation album that will pay homage to the Michael Jackson masterwork, “Thriller”, along with working through the latter stages of post-production for our forthcoming full-length, New Atlantic Youth LP. Dan Physics, our producer extraordinaire on the New Atlantic Youth LP sent over versions of the tracks after being run through his arsenal of auditory awesomeness and we’re still picking up the pieces of our faces that were rocked the fuck off during listening. Until then, we’ve got some upcoming gigs in March we’d love to see you at (you could hear some new music, too).
We’ve been sleeping. We can’t lie. Biding our time, resting on our laurels. Finding the right way to unfold the raw tracks we recorded this past August for our first full-length record. We’ve said it’s coming. It is. Three years lead us here and we’re ready for the next step. The forthcoming New Atlantic Youth LP is what we’ve known we could make from the start. We have the tools and the help of a truly great producer in Dan Physics.
The symbol you see above is the start of a new era. We’re keen, sharp, and polished and have so much to show you. Get ready for May.
